Wii
The Wii is a seventh generation video game console invented by Nintendo, a Japanese company. The Wii remote is the most distinguishing part of this gaming console. The remote controls the console instead of a joystick. It uses a sensor bar to point at the LEDs on the console. The player is free to gesticulate or use the buttons provided on the remote. Xbox 360
Microsoft came up with Xbox 360 to add variety to the already exciting range of video game consoles. Three different options are available as far as the Xbox 360 consoles are concerned. They are `Arcade`, `Premium` and `Elite`. The three variants are very different in configuration, games and also price.
The Xbox 360 integrates chatting and exercises with its gaming console to provide additional interest. Users can display pictures and play music while playing games on the console. Xbox 360 provides several online features on Xbox Live which enable the user to access a variety of other games. In fact, one of the major attractions of Xbox 360 is the number of games available. About 1000 games are available in Xbox 360.
PlayStation 3
The PS3 is a home video game console by Sony. It is also a seventh generation video game console like Wii and Xbox 360. Online download of games and various other forms of interaction is achieved through PlayStation Network. A multitude of accessories can be wired into PS3 which include camera and remote. Photographs can be viewed; and music and movies played with ease. High-definition graphics are the major attraction in PS3.
PlayStation 3 also provides a wireless controller charged with a USB cable. Due to difficulties in manufacturing the Blu-ray format, production of the 20, 40 and 60 GB PS3s have been discontinued. High price is serving as a deterrent for PS3`s sales.
